Important Information!

Recently we have had some inquiries concerning price increases and surcharges.

• The Metal Market Is Fluctuating Daily- We have based our new prices on the current $13.00 silver market. (Our previous prices were based on a $6.00 silver market.) The prices on the Fine Pewter Gift items are remaining the same. We have done our research and found our prices are still below our competitors. Campus I.D. offers you the best price for a domestically manufactured precious metal keepsake.
• Why is there a surcharge on silver products and what does this mean? We could rather set a lower price point and add a nominal sursharge, ONLY if the market dictates. Our surcharge is based on the weight of the piece in grams times a percentage of the overageof that day's metal market. If the market is over $14.00 we have a formula that gives a nominal percentage to add to the silver product on an order. Not every order that you place will incur a surecharge. ONLY if the market goes above $14.00.
• Why is the market fluctuating? Metals are a commodity. Prices are dedicated by supply and demand. Many silver mines have stopped mining; therefore at this time we are at a 15-year supply deficit. Many governments have been buying silver on the open market in order to make their own commemorative and currency coins. Another factor is the high demand in China. Just recently people were legally able to buy silver, gold, and platinum, with the largest demand in silver. Lastly, the US dollar has weakend over the last few years. There are other factors that also come into play, but we feel that these are the most important.

Sorry for the lack of updates. Seems like it has almost been a year since the last news update. Well jsut to let everyone know, Campus ID is still here and still operational. We have so new items appearing at the spirit show this summer. Other than that, please enjoy the site and email any questions, comments or concerns.

We had a wonderful response on all of our new charms, rings and ear rings. The hit of our show was the new token charm on satin cord - at $6.25 wholesale how can you go wrong. Anyway, glad to be home - perhaps I'll see some familiar faces in Dallas and Atlanta during the summer at the gift shows.
